Monger, short for the historical term whoremonger, is a slang term heavily utilized within the Hobbyist and Sex Tourism subcultures. While historically a derogatory term, some clients have reclaimed it on an Escort Review Site to describe themselves or their peers who frequently travel internationally to hire an Escort or visit a Brothel. Providers generally view the term as a red flag, as it often correlates with treating Full-Service Sex Work as a cheap consumer commodity.
