Renewals, Cancellations and Refunds

This policy applies to paid Escortpedia memberships and approved sponsored link placements. It should be read with the terms and conditions and link placement policy.

Annual membership period

Memberships are sold for a 12-month period beginning on the date confirmed at checkout, unless a different start date is explicitly stated. The chosen package determines the number of proposed placements that can be submitted for editorial review during the paid period.

Renewal

The checkout page and purchase confirmation must state whether the membership is a one-time annual purchase or an automatically renewing subscription. We do not assume automatic renewal merely because a previous purchase was made. If auto-renewal is offered, its frequency, price, cancellation method and any legally required notices must be disclosed before purchase.

Cancelling

You may ask to cancel a membership or stop a future renewal by emailing hi@escortpedia.org with the email address linked to the purchase and enough information to locate the order. Do not send full card details. Cancelling an auto-renewal stops future charges when processed in accordance with the applicable contract and law; it does not automatically require immediate removal of already paid-for placements.

Refunds and declined submissions

If a submitted link does not meet our editorial criteria, we may request an alternative suitable placement. A request that has been declined does not count as an approved published placement. If we cannot provide the purchased service, we will consider the appropriate remedy, including a refund where required by contract or law.

We do not promise refunds merely because a search engine does not index a link, search rankings do not improve or no referral visits occur. However, nothing in this policy restricts mandatory statutory remedies for services not provided with required care or as described.

Consumer cancellation rights

If you purchase as a consumer, applicable distance-selling and subscription rules may give you a statutory cooling-off right, commonly including a 14-day period for certain online service contracts. The precise right and any permitted charge for services started during that period depend on the law, service and information and consent provided at purchase. We will not treat this policy as overriding a right that the law provides.

Expiry of placements

Unless a new paid term is agreed, sponsored placements may be removed after the membership expires. Editorial references and citations are governed independently and may remain or change based on editorial need, not subscription status.

Requesting a review

Email hi@escortpedia.org with the transaction reference, purchase date and the outcome you request. We review disputes in light of the purchased package, delivery status and applicable legal rights.
